sample retrig problem

Postby j0han » Sun Aug 02, 2009 6:46 pm

Hi. Just got me a E6400 ultra. I've connected it up to my sequencer (Yamaha Qy-700). Now I wanted to play around with the sample retrigger modulation. So as a test I created a cord with LFO as source and retrigger as dest. When I try it using a keyboard it works and retrigger as supposed but when connected to the sequencer and I try to play the note through the sequencer (the song is just a test with one note hold for 1 second to activate this retrigger sample).
But it's not retriggering (well some times it seems to do it but it's very random and it's not retrigger as supposed to).

I hope this made any sense :D

Any idea what the problem might be? Is it the sequencer that's doing something wrong?

Thanks for the suggestion but it didn't work, any other ideas?

the LFO1 is setup like:
Rate: 14.04
Shape: Triangle
Delay: 0
Variation: 0%
Sync: Free run

and the cord:
Source: LFO1~
Dest: SRetrig
Amount: -1%

Yes , in your Setup the LFO works like a Random Trigger . And with this Rate is Chance to hear any Results like Zero.

Try to put a long Sustained Note in the Sequencer and justice the Rate from the LFO slower .
