Copy bank onto 8GB Flash - how?

Postby ericeric » Tue Nov 10, 2009 2:08 pm

Hi

I'm new to the E-mu sampling world, and I recently bought a cheap ESI-4000. Since I couldn't find any working harddisk, I went for a CF-Card reader from http://www.scsiforsamplers.com. The card itself has 8GB.
I then started doing backups from the CD-ROMs onto the card, but that quickly stopped when the number of banks hit 100 (I think). So, there's still roughly 7 of 8 GB unused on the card, and I wonder what I'm doing wrong... For the ESI-4000, this is just like a harddisk, but I don't know whether I can create folders on it or "sub-banks" or whatever. I just want to have all CD-ROMs which came with the sampler on this card.
Any ideas?

Thanks & best regards,
Eric

You can't create folders and such with this sampler, E-mu Ultra range can do that.
So you're stuck with 100 Banks per medium.
