E6400 Classic FX ?

Postby chinneric » Thu Mar 04, 2010 6:38 pm

I just picked up a E6400 Classic from E-Bay. I really like the unit. Can't figure out how or if I can add efx's (Reverb, Chorus etc..). When I try 2 access the fx, it says no fx board installed. Which option can I install 2 have efx's. Does the RFX board work in a classic. Any help out there?

Hi chinneric,

the RFX-board is just for the ULTRA-series as the mainboards of the ULTRA-series have a PCI-Slot (of course not compatible with PCI-cards for a PC or MAC) where the RFX-32 is plugged in.

A FX-board with 2 18-bit FX processors has been available as an option for the e6400 (classic).
So if your e6400 says that no FX-Board is installed then it is just this way.
You won't be in the position to obtain this FX-Boards from anywhere because it isn't available any more.
No reason to be sad as this FX weren't very sophisticated.
