Hi any tips on changing emax formatted sounds/samples into E4 eos format ?

i recently brought a whole load of sample disks but in emax2 format and they won't play in my E4

The E4 can read banks of the EMAX II from SCSI storage media.
Looks like you need someone with an EMAX II who can copy the banks from the floppy discs to a HD.

As the EMAX II is an earlier sampler from Emu Systems, it of course cannot handle the file format of the E4.

Work to be done:
- Transfer each sample seperately from the E4 to the EMAX
- Setup each Preset in the EMAX, including for each sample: rootkey, keyboard zone, Dynamic Processing, etc.

You have to connect both units connected via MIDI In to MIDI Out and use the Sample Dump function of EOS (SAMPLE MANAGE -> UTILS -> DUMP ... set Direction to TRANSMIT)
Although the EMAX II can only sample at a rate of 39,062 Hz, it can work with samples with a SR of up to 50khz, as far as I remember as a former EMAX II owner ...
