the arpeggiator is kind of like a program that allows you to trigger various notes just by pushing one key. basically what it will do is play octave intervals from the key you press up or down or both depending on the setting you choose. so if you hit c2, and you have the arp set direction up, and a octave setting of 3, the sampler will play c2, then c3, then c4, then start over as you hold the key down. you can also pick note length as well. and set a bpm.

you can also use the arp to sync your lfo's. there is a thread about that on here.

the arp is kind of tricky to get going. you can only arp on one track only. unless some one else has figured out different. and in order to pick a track, you have to do something that i can't remember how to. damn it.

i think you have to select a specific track in utilties. shit, i am going to have to look agian. but i bet someone here will beat me to it. but anyway that is what an arp does. also, the arp isn't that flexible so i would suggest just doing arps by your self, by hand.

thank you! :slayer:

so, in the 'calling' by technical itch (i think) is that noise in the breakdown which builds up, does that use a arp??

i've been messing around with it getting some cool things happening!

I had a try with the arp the other day, and while i came up with some cool shit i could not get it to switch to a diff track, or even a diff spot on my sequencer. Like it would only play where I had my left and right locators in cubase the first time i turned it on.

ended up just turning it off :???:

well you can switch tracks, just that you can only use it on that one track after you switch it. i will look into this tonight, if no one else beats me to it.

that is why i perfer to do my arps by hand. and instead of just having octave intervals, i can do i don't know fifths and bounce around somewhat randomly then go into an up down, or change from fifths to thirds to octaves to seconds back to fifths. then of course i can decide sticcato or legato, and what rythm i want. and if you do your arps by hand, you can have as many tracks doing them instead.

but like i said, i will look into how to make the arp change tracks. i just can't remember right now.
