Help with performing using EMU

Postby Sadaharu » Tue Feb 08, 2011 7:20 pm

Hi everyone

I'm a complete newb and would greatly require assistance with a piece I am playing. It requires a EMU keyboard that reads an EIV formatted zip disk. Suggested model is an 8.7 (?) MB E64. The best I've been able to locate here in Toronto is an EIII and I'm told it won't read EIV format.

I've tried to read the files on a zip drive into my computer, with the idea that a software sampler might be able to convert the files, but my computer won't recognize the zip disk.

I've tried patching into the integralive project, but they apparently had very limited success converting the file for use with puredata.

If anyone could help me with a step-by-step on how to get this working, I'd be very thankful.

Thanks!!

As I understand do you need access to the sounds on the ZIP disk that is in EOS-Format.
The following applications can read EOS-format and convert the banks to something else:
1. Emu Systems Emulator X2 and Emulator X3 [PC 0nly] (http://www.emu.com)
2. Chicken Systems Translator [MAC & PC] (http://www.chickensys.com/)
3. Soundlib CDXtract [MAC & PC] (http://www.soundlib.com/)
4. Extreme Sample Comverter [MAC & PC] (http://www.extranslator.com/)
