Once you have a Newley created layered preset, go to PRESET MANAGE screen and COPY it to preset 001, overwriting whatever was there.

Now when you EXPORT this Preset to the HD it will be available instantly on 001 without going through the trouble of trying to locate it. Otherwise it will be a case of trying to find the original preset number that the layer was created in.

You can do the 001 EXPORT trick with all the presets you create and when you are ready to build a bank of presets you can load each one up in the order you want to use them, and then SAVE your new preset bank containing all the required presets

Working like this you can always go back to the exported single presets and create new banks that can be built in a predictable way.

Regarding every new Preset which is created and then Exported into a new Bank in location 001, do you place EVERY new Preset (created as afforementioned) in a NEW Bank (ie on its own). So therefore you will have lots of Banks each containing just ONE Preset in location 001 ?? If so, then i am guessing you Delete these single Preset Banks once you have made definitive Banks containing collections of these new Presets for gigging (or whatever) with ?? Would that be correct ??

If you create a folder or two named PRESETS and others called BANKS

Organising the Folders and Banks on the EMU is something i am going to start looking into more deeply next year. i bought the Emu 2nd hand off ebay last year and so there is stuff floating around in various places. i will probs start a new thread to cover this topic as i am sure i will have many questions along the way.
