i'm about to install 32MB of blank ROM in my E4XT Ultra. after i do, i'm going to want to dump a TON of short drum samles from my PC to my E4 to further transfer to ROM. anyhow, i've set up the PC/E4 connection before and got it to work using Wavelab. problem w/ Wavelab is that i had to trasmit each sample one by one. i'll probably have nearly 1000 or more samples to transfer, so i'm looking for a different piece of software to use that will somehow allow me to select ALL the samples and send them to the E4, so it will queue them and i can go relax for a few hours in the meantime

is this possible w/ something else like ReCycle or Soundforge or something? if i have to do it one by one, i'll go friggin mad no doubt.

is there any other way to do this? i HATE how even EOS 4.7 can't read .wav's off a CD that's not an EOS CD-ROM.

p.s. anyone know if there is a sample limit to ROM like there is 1000 sample limit to RAM?

p.s.s.s anyone else want a hookup on cheap blank ROM ($50 for 16MB)? let me know, not many left, but i know da man.

Hey, you can do this with recycle and soundforge combined. It's kind of a bitch but it works. There's two ways you can do this. Get all of the samples you want to transfer to your EMU and burn them onto a CD. Then in Soundforge us the "extract audio from CD" function but check the "read entire CD" box. That will open all of the samples up into one big file in Soundforge. Now chop the file up into segments that are 5 minutes or less 'cause Recycle doesn't like files over 5 minutes long. Now open the files up in Recycle and insert the slice points betwen each sample, then transmit them to the EMU and each sample will be assigned into different sample numbers and automatically placed into a preset. The other way to do it without burning a CD is to just open up the samples you want to use in Soundforge individually and paste them all into one file. Then do the same thing with Recylce. It's a bitch but once you get it down it takes no time at all.
