Backing up emu ide HD

Postby Omen » Mon Apr 12, 2004 9:57 pm

Hi,

I need some help with backing up my internal ide hard drive.

I understand that i can use the back up function in utills section of the disk/brows menu.

If i have a scsi card installed in my pc with a scsi HD tagged from it in my pc, will the emu back up to the pc scsi HD? If so how do i then re-install the files to the emu if my emu ide HD fails?

Thanks,
Omen

If you have a SCSI hard drive in your PC and your E-mu can see the drive you should be able to back up to and from the IDE drive in your E-mu using the backup function. If the IDE HD in your E-mu fails your best bet is to get a new IDE HD and then use the backup function to transfer the files from the SCSI drive back to the IDE drive. You shouldn't have too much problems. Hope that helps.
