hi. Im ajay bhatia from india and i have just joined the group.
I do music for tv commercials. My gear consists of an e4xt ultra , xp 80 (roland), Triton rack and a roland xv 5080. Use cubase sx for sequencing on my laptop .

what i actually want to ask is :
when i am working , i load a lot of sounds on the emu, and i tend to max the 128mb. suppose i use 12 sounds on twelve channels maxing 64mb. since i have already maxed the ram i cannot load more sounds... is there any way to copy the preset and channel settings to another bank without loading all the other sounds so that i can continue to load more sounds??

i now manually write the patch names and levels, save my old bank and load the corresponding presets back into the channels and load more tones. is there any way to copy the multisetup??

any help would be great as it would save me a lot of time.

also how does one control cut off filters from an external controller?? in my case the xp-80?

thanks in advance
:grin:

Hey there krazydude ->

>>>s there any way to copy the preset and channel settings to another bank without loading all the other sounds so that i can continue to load more sounds??

Indeed this is possible,

? Hit the 'Preset Manage' button, use your data wheel to select the preset.
? Hit the 'Export' button
? Save to a new Bank in the folder of your choice ( i create folder on the disk before hand for presets i save)

After this has been executed :

? Hit the 'Utilities' button for that same preset
? Hit 'Erase' to remove the preset from the currently loaded bank

>>>is there any way to copy the multisetup??

When the EMU is in MultiSetup mode and u execute the 'Save' command the EMU saves this to a Bank which retains ALL the settings !!!

thanks drayon, :thumbs:
but after i export each preset to a new bank , i yet need to assign the channels and settings etc.
is there any way to copy only the presets to anew bank so that all my channel, volume, pan and out settings get saved but not the other sounds in that bank.
let me explain again,
i load my sounds from cd roms to the hard disk which may get maxed to 128 mb. from that bank in ram i assign them to different channels on the multisetup.now i just want to copy the preset assignments to another bank without copying all the other sounds. Only the presets i am using. so that in the new bank i can contiue to load sounds from other cd-roms.
I hope i am clear in what i am asking....
thanks a million for your help
really appreciate it.
