Postby Johnny Digital » Fri Dec 03, 2004 6:32 pm

Hi,

I've alway heard SCSI were noizy but had to hear to believe it :)

Any one knows any brand/model wich is more quiet?

I'll try to find some info on how to lower the noise level...

I am getting a bit weary of the noisy wheezing sound of the HD in my E4.

An old post stated that the Seagate IV ATA with softsonic motor could be an option... anyone know about a more recent model that has a nice silent motor?

Hi JD,
I would defenately go for an IDE drive, when you're running EOS4.7 you'll be able to install any size of HD. I just replaced my 10Gb hard drive for a 40Gb-er.

just check out my post here: viewtopic.php?t=920

cheers
