Greetings from Seattle.
So, I hear the e5000 sampler has a 48 track sequencer.
I have an Emu ESI-32 that I love (may usurp it via the e5k, tho)
I have a Korg n364 workstation (with 16 track sequencer) that I love to make songs on.
I'm intrigued by the idea of having 48 tracks. That's what I'm after. I know the display is limited (try the n364's), but it seems to have enough "memory" to create some decent songs.
Who can tell me more about using the e5000 sequencer, either solely or in conjunction with an external sequencer/sound module like said n364? Can I use both these badfellas in tandem, doing stuff with measures on my n364 and bar/beats on the e5000 (what's the diff between a bar and a measure, anyhow?) An inquiring mind wants to know.
Finally, this in particular intrigues me: The e5000 sequencer manual claims it can even record more than one channel on a track. HUH?? Does the e5000 sample in order to sequence?
Basically, friends, who out there has used the e5k as a song sequencer, and why should/'nt I do the same? Personally, I'd rather play than program, which is why I've avoided linking up my system to my computer (makes me a Luddite, I know).
Thanks for reading my long-winded verbiage. Peace to you all.
Yours,
m
