PCMCIA - SCSI adapter

Postby fatbenelton » Tue Oct 05, 2010 12:59 pm

Hi all - sold my EMU earlier in the year and having an accessory clean out.

I have two PCMCIA SCSI cards that I used to connect my laptop and sampler for SMDI transfers using soundforge. Clearly, PCMCIA has been superceded by expresscard but there are still plenty of PCMCIA machines out there. It may work with an expresscard to cardbus adapter but I have not tried it.

I adaptec SLIM SCSI 1480 - 32 bit card
1 Iomega Jaz card - bought as a spare,I think it's the equivalent of the 1480 but originally bundled with JAZ drives (I have the 2gb JAZ as well if you are interested).

Both come with bespoke leads. One ends in a centronics 50 pin for us EMU types, the other HD50.

Also have 100mb scsi ZIP drive available

Not sure on price but no a lot - offers around £15 each.........
