EOS 3 to EOS 4.10 upgrade flustration

Been trying to upgrade my E4k from 3 to 4.10. Got the 6853 kit, problem chips on the E4k need to be surface mounted, these are on a board, which is probably for the rack. Can these chips be removed and put into the E4k, to complete upgrade? or do I need a different set of chips? Anyone any ideas? If this is no good, anyone need an upgrade kit? Yours for what I paid for it. ?40.

Would the upgrade kit work with the E6400 classic? If so - is it still avaliable?

Of course you can use chips from kit 6853. But, you should make some changes on main board of E4K!!! If you will not do it your chips will damadged!

You can find flash memory on e-bay.
