Any problems with your Ultra sampler should be reported here, hopefully someone might know what's wrong.

button 'double-press' problem?

Postby rcl » Wed Sep 13, 2006 12:15 am

My emu has a problem, sometimes when I press a button lilke an F-key or Prev or Next or Exit, it actually registers twice. Sometimes this has bad effects like having the ability to delete samples and stuff -- not cool! Is this a common problem, anything I can do about it? WIlling to try whatever..

Emu E6400 Classic here

Thanks,

Robert

Yeah, I have the same problem on my 6400 classic with the F6 button. I think it's a problem with the contact needing to be cleaned, but I haven't really gotten into checking it out too much as I'm replacing it with a 6400 ultra at the moment anyway (Mmm... Beat Munging...)

For what it's worth, mine cooperate far more now that I use the sampler heavily. Guess they were just dusty and using them lots has cleaned them.. although they do still stick.

It's definitely a mechanical issue, dirty switches

Mine is like that too. I just use a normal ascii-keyboard, but you guys might not have that expansion?
