Problems updating emu from 4.6.1 to 4.7

Postby livewire » Mon May 14, 2007 6:36 pm

So I created the floppy disk from the exe on emus site. pop it in the Bird and boot, says hit enter to update. I do , This process seems to take far to long the drive minces away for what seems like 10-15 minutes. Then it says done and all seems well but then it fails th checksum and asks me if I want to boot from flash I say yes and it boots with 4.6.1??

Anyone got any ideas, Im trying it again now will report back.

Hey.. same happend with me.. i had to create the boot disk sevral times.. but suddenly it worked.. just try, re-create and try again :) the prosess dosent take to long.. so if nothing happend after 4-5 min, you can boot and try again

I think its maybe because of bad floppys?? the one i used was realy old :P i dont have floppys around anymore.

the upgrade prosess works like this.

Emu loads the new os into flash, and verify its working.

you can now choose to flash or not.
