burning cd with my banks on it

Postby Schulti » Sun Jun 17, 2007 3:31 pm

i know that this is a eos forum in generall, but i would be very happy, if anyone can help me anyway.

first my setup:

esi 4000 turbo
yamaha CRW4260tx (SCSI)
IBM 4,1 BG (SCSI)
adaptec SCSI-card
and a windows xp pro desktop pc

now my problem:

i have also the realy nice program esi-win. with that, and the right SCSI
setup (IDs, cable length, ect.), i am able to load my banks form the scsi hdd to my windows pc and put them all together in an iso image.
now the problem starts. to burn this iso-image on a cd that can be read by my esi4000 over the scsi-cd-drive i have to burn it in RAW mode. BUT when i did this the cd is recognized by my scsi-cd-drive and my esi shows me all the banks i burned on it, when i hit the load key on my sampler. but when i choose one of the banks and press "enter" to load them into the ram, the error massage "not an esi/e3x bank" comes up.

i tried so many different raw modes (raw dao, raw sao ect.) but with always the same result. i have over 20 useless cds laying around here and no idea what i?m doing wrong.

i hope anyone can help me !!!

Get hold of Chicken Systems translator. It should do the trick.

http://www.chickensys.com/products/sw_iteminfo.php?sw_name=Translator+Pro

It'll read your HD and existing CD-ROMS, I believe you can create and burn your own CDs in E-mu, Akai and lots of other formats. I haven't used it myself but I hear it's a good piece of software.

But then with a $150 price tag, it ought to be!

Has anyone used it?

i do not think, that there is a problem with the file format. because esi-win is only a read and copy program. furthermore there are no settings to change or something, so theres nothing what you do wrong with the program...my idea is that there must be a problem while the burn procedure of the cd, wrong mode ect. ...... is no one here how has experiences with esi-win ? and burning these so created isos ?
