size or brand CF cards

Any problems with your Ultra sampler should be reported here, hopefully someone might know what's wrong.

size or brand CF cards

Hello everybody

I am new on this forum and to celebrate that, i'd like to ask a question!

I built a cardreader (Microtech pcd-47) in my E6400 Ultra (OS4.7), which works pretty good. BUT i bought some CF cards for it and it turns out that some brands or sizes save and load the data OK: others save the data, but when I load the sounds back in (or REDO an action), an awful digital distortion will be heard on top of my samples.

Working:
Sandisk 512 MB
Kingston 512 MB

Dist:
Transcend 512 MB & 1GB
Kingston 2GB

I did format the cards to Emu format, FAT16 and FAT32, but nothing helps. Did anybody encounter the same issues?
Does anybody know a remedy (except buying 512 MB Kingston)?
Anybody who uses cards >512Mb? What brand, in that case?
Anybody using SD cards with the Ultra?

Any comment would be very welcome
