mine are getting really worn out, does anyone know the size/dimensions of them? Id rather not disassemble the bird till i got the parts since im still using it.

anyone know? got any pics? more info etc etc

I think these are proprietary, but I hope they are not. I opened it once to replace the data encoder and before that on an e4k and they look like a "standard" tact switch, but they have a square piece that the button fits in.

If you find out one way or another, please let me know via PM and post here. I need some of these as well.

Has anyone taken tried using the switches suggested above? I can't seem to find a US source for them easily. All the places that have them seem to have minimum order requirements or will only sell business to business.

I believe the switches that are suggested above are made by a german company and thus hard to track down for those in the U.S. However, I took a chance and got some switches for my E4K and replaced them all tonight and they work fantastically.

They are available at mouser.com for $0.17 a piece.

It should be noted that these work for an E4K, but I can't say 100% for the other E4s. However, I strongly believe this to be the case.

Another thing to note when replacing these switches is to make sure that they are flat and straight when soldering to the PCB. If they are slightly off, then after you have put everything back together you might realize that one of your buttons only half presses down and so half works because it is sticking out at an angle. This happened to me, but luckily it is not too bad and it is the Sequencer button which I never use, or need to use. I hope this information helps someone.
