emusonacid! legacy

Hello,
I have a potential problem with my E4K and I believe that it may need a replacement power supply, but I am only running a 9 GB hard drive so I don't believe that there is too much current draw.

Anyway, every now and then my e4k will "misfire" when I turn it on. The lights light up and I hear the disk spin up, but the display doesn't turn on or it will turn on but the backlight won't turn on and the screen is completely black. This probably happens about 1 out of every 30 times I turn it on, maybe more.

Also, the contrast of the screen is very weak. I always kept it on +5 and it was fine, but yesterday I noticed that it looked like the characters were bleeding and some darker spots appeared on the screen. They kind of go away when I move it to +7, but I believe this is indicative of a problem.

I know you can get replacement screen backlights.. sure i saw them on eBay

Cant help much more than that im affraid, but dont worry.. some of the other users on here will know more

hey thought you didnt need any backlight replacement for the emus but it seems that you may need that too...
