e6400 Classic HD problem..

e6400 Classic HD problem..

Apologies in advance if this question has been answered (tried searching and couldn't find any info) or if it's just plain common knowledge. I recently purchased my first e6400 and haven't quite figured everything out (mainly because I received no manual). I'm a little confused about the internal hard drive. I opened the sampler up and found a 9GB drive installed, however the only thing showing up on the EOS is the floppy drive which makes actually importing and saving any sounds just a tad bit difficult. If anyone can shed some light on the subject, I'd be much appreciative. :grin:

You hear the HD spinning up when turning the sampler on ? Checked cabling inside, maybe something became loose ?. You could try to mount it manually and see if it appears in menu then (IF you noticed it's working / spinning up), see manual how to do. Maybe the HD is dead, then you need to replace it.
