I have an e synth, anyone ever have this issues. I hooked up External SCSI CD rom and it deactivated my internal SCSI hard drive. Worse then, I see zzz's on CD Rom device. Do I just have a bad Rom drive? I tried multiple diff cds.

probably termination issues. Search on SCSI termination elsewhere. unfortunately, SCSI is not quite plug and play.....each physical end of the chain needs termination - otherwise you'll get what you saw - malfunction.
