Trashed Samples!

Postby munki » Sat Nov 29, 2008 7:56 pm

Hi Folks.

I have an emu E5000 ultra and now I'm on a macbook I use 2 zip drives to transfer samples back and forth.

I have been getting a problem with some samples getting trashed once I save the bank. If I load the bank up again later, some of the samples are all mashed and harsh sounding. Like loads of distortion on them. They play fine when I brought them in but seem to get trashed once I save the bank.

Does anyone know why this is happening and can give some advice?

could be messed up file system if you don't have correct SCSI termination. You need termination properly set even with 1 drive. Both ends of the chain.

Cheers mate I checked it out to make sure.

I re formatted my internal drive and that seems to have fixed it for now.

Fingers crossed :)
