emusonacid! legacy

Hello all.
I just bought a backup Emu, its a E5000 ultra it arrived dead. small red led Lights all on
but nothing worked. (yes, Ebay )
So I have taken it apart to re seat any thing that came loose during transport.
Ram, CPU Ram, any cables Etc Etc
Now it lives,
but with a dead screen. I can still just about make out the screen
Everything else is good except the back-light.
There is nothing else in this one, no RFX card or Hard-drive,
completely bare-bones so there should be enough power.

I have read through the forum but cannot find anything specific to the E5000 screen.
or how to go about replacing it. Its a different screen to my E6400 ultra

So, Does anybody know If it is possible to replace the screen/Baclight?
Its a backup machine but pretty hard to use on stage.

you could try here - this is a complete assembly and although it's for the other E4 Ultras I would be astonished if it wasn't a snap in replacement on the E5000 too

...although at the price you might just consider getting another E5000 - the spares would be useful

Yeah, I saw that too while I was searching.
It looks like the E5000's have a different power supply to the display.
I just wanted to know for sure If that was the only option for replacing the back-light.
