EOS v3.0b wanted (or v2.8 in the mean time)

Postby AxiMaxi » Sat Sep 18, 2010 4:59 pm

Can someone please upload a proper disk image of EOS v3.0b or v2.8?
And please one that I can put on a floppy myself using either some Windows version or MS/DOS.
The files on the website don't work.

Thanks!

Thanks, I was a bit impatient.
I've upgraded to v3.0b now.

And for those who, in the future, find this thread and wondered how I did it:

1) go to the files section of this website and download both Flasprep AND the desired EOS
2) put both on a floppy (SDISK.EXE is the file you want to run, ignore what's in the DOC-file)
[NOT NECESSARY, BUT IT WORKED] 3) put the Flashprep in your sampler and boot
4) then insert the EOS disk and let the machine do its stuff
5) ready!

Great you have it on your machine now. Just one thing; I kindly ask you to edit your post above, as Flash Prep is not necessary when updating to EOS 3.0b, only for EOS updates above 4.0. Only thing you have to do is what mookid wrote in the thread I pointed you to in the other sections thread:

I added a line, so ppl know that it can't hurt either ;)
It's just what someone on another forum said I'd have to do.
Then again, he also said that v4.x worked in 1MB flash ROM, but I didn't try that...
