Hoping that someone can help me with my problem and that I've not been sold a dead box.

It's the bog standard e-mu e5000 ultra with no hd or any other other ad ons.

When I turn on the machine the screen back light comes on, flashes off and then on again and then nothing.

I've tried writing a 416 disk from the e-mu web site as well as the flashprep disk to see if it will boot from these. The disk sounds like it's being read and then the noise stops. The disk light remains on but nothing ever shows on the screen even after 20 mins.

Am I screwed? Please someone tell me I can get this working some how.

Hard to tell from here , must try swapping power supply's etc etc

I recall flashprep is for non ULTRA ( dont know the exact story annymore )

In the early days there was a better website from EMU
All in one IT takes a lot of resurdje to get the job done
