hard disk going bad?

Postby jsepeta » Mon Dec 29, 2003 4:01 am

i was able to copy a bunch of samples to my hard disk last night, but tonight I'm getting error messages. Under EOS 4.61, I was getting a Bad SCSI Driver error, then the drive was showing screwy data (bizarre names, more folders than I had) and the E5000 had to be restarted. After being unable to figure out how to perform a reinstall of the scsi driver, I upgraded to EOS 4.7 and now when I save I get a different error -- "Bad File Number", whereby the drive disappears and will not remount until after restarting.

I have 27 folders and am currently using about 50% of my 7gb internal hard disk. I *assume* it's a scsi mechanism.
