I've got one of the old power supplies that isn't supposed to be able to handle an RFX, but I put one in anyway. Think that might be taxing my PSU too much? Anyone else have a noisy fan?

I've been slaving at work for the past four months, with no time to anything else really. But now I've got some time to do my *real* work, and have been becoming reacquainted with my Emu.
But
now my fan is MUCH louder than it used to be
I've got one of the old power supplies that isn't supposed to be able to handle an RFX, but I put one in anyway. Think that might be taxing my PSU too much? Anyone else have a noisy fan?

i did have a noisy fan straight from the shop - sent it back and got another - sounded like a fog horn massive at a rave 
There is some stuff around on replacing it - i'll see if i can find it....
