I've been driving myself insane trying to get my mac to talk to my EMU via scsi. I've tried almost everything, but can't get the emu to show up in the system profiler. Does anyone know ANYTHING I could do to get this to work? Thanks...
I actually already tried SMDI, and I was wondering why this utility was a preferred choice, or why the icon itself appears to be a scsi icon, as it seems to do exactly what the name implies.... simply transfer mono samples via midi. In addition, it locks up my EMU every time I choose to receive samples from it. I think perhaps SMDI is just too buggy for my particular setup...
and it communicated on my mac(g4 867 with a scsi card on panther)
it read all my samples that were inside...tried to send a sample but i got..."SMDI Xfer Timeout" error on my emu ultra 5000.
i can send and receive samples!
it doesnt like aiff sometimes.
alittle slow. sometimes your emu will crash...
after updating my scsi card driver and using this program I acctually see my scsi profile in my System Profile.
Really odd. there was nothing in the scsi section of the system profile, now I see all my scsi hardware, my e-mu emulator 4 with my old school syquest ez135s....
I just found my solution for mac os x...combined with logic 7 and sound diver for mac os x...
