1820m-Crossfade all inputs + wave with 1 ASIO channel

Postby toqer » Mon Mar 10, 2008 10:04 pm

Hi I'm toqer. Been using the 1820m for a few years now. I use it at a karaoke bar I work at called the 7 Bamboo.

Basically I use my 1820m as a digital mixer/effects box in conjunction with a midi controller. Something I was told by "couldn't be done". I surprised a lot of EMU engineers when I figured it out.

Using Reaper as a DAW basically what I did was asio'd the hell outta everything.

Here's a stupid picture of what i'm doing.

Anyways, if you're interested in checking out my asio routing insanity, download reaper. During the install hit the +addition components to tree it out, and install the rearoute ASIO driver.

If you don't have VV, you can use foobar2000 and its asio output.

Below are links to my reaper project files and patchmix session files.

RUN REAPER BEFORE ANYTHING!!!. Reapers Reroute driver needs to be run before anything so it can be the reroute host. Then run your Fubar2000 or VV, then run your winamp.
Go to the FX window for track 11. Click on the "SwixMitch" effect and move the slider (make sure you got fubar,vv/winamp playing something)

You can also plug in CD players, DVD players into your inputs.

This is all running on a core2duo 6400 with 2 gigs of ram.

Thanks for the information, but it's not EOS-related, so I'll move it.
