how do i sent a different (mono) sound to each output?

i just hooked emulator x studio up on my windows box and am using it in my studio with an e4xt ultra, sequencing them both from a powerbook running digital performer, and i have the e4xt ultra set up how i want with a different preset going to each of the 8 analog outputs (by going preset 1 to main, all the way left, preset 2 to main all the way right, preset 3 to sub1 all the way left, etc.) but for some reason the outputs on emulator x seem to be all out of wack, it only seems to send to outputs 1-2, in stereo, can't even send to 2r-l, 3r-l, or 4r-l, when what i ideally want to do is send a different preset to each single output (to get 8 tracks coming out of it at a time.

anyone know how to do this? or at very least to get the full 4 stereo tracks?

I spoke to an E-MU techincal rep and he said that the Emulator X only supports stereo outputs because ASIO is all stereo.. hmm.. dunno how all the other ASIO apps work then!.. none the less you could try hard panning each channel left and right.. although I remember reading somewhere that the panning isn't very solid.. ie weird phase issues.. I'd give it a shot. Also make sure you have all the outputs turned on in the Emulator X prefs. I use an RMU card as my audio interface so I'm not sure how to setup the outs using the Emu mixer.. it's a retarded piece of software with an impossible interface.. but I'm sure it's doable!

Best of luck
