Emulator X export to EOS

Postby om » Thu Aug 12, 2004 12:37 pm

I have been trying to export a bank I created in the Emulator X to my ESynth Ultra (EOS 4.7). The bank is very small and fits on a floppy. When I load it in the Ultra the samples all sound like noise. Is anyone else experiencing this problem?

Am I doing something wrong?

High!

The problem seems to be that sometimes the files seem to swap the byte order from mac order to pc order. If you import the file renamed as e4b the emu X seems to swap byte order. That is somewhere in the manual (you'll prolly find it easier in the pdf).

But I don't own a EMU X, I just wanted to read something about it, cause it might be a quite nice way to

a) convert samples from any format to eos
b) have a VST-Sampler
c) get loads of additional sample CDs (as there are loads of packages with tons of sounds added)

Try it...

The converter does not find my EMU Cds. And i cant open my EMU Cds from my E4xt-Ultra with my Emulator x Studio on PC.

Thanx for the info!

That would complicate some stuff a little, but I happen to have LOADS of scsi devices that should help the conversion...

yeah, I've had the same problem. I wish there was just an easy way to put it on the internal HDD as I've done extensive work with the emux before getting a hardware e4xt. I got tired of all the latency and gui issues with the software so I thought I'd try out one of the beasts.

I have the same problem, trying to convert emu-x sound banks to my eos samper, an e6400 classic.
I still haven’t tried to save banks to floppies due to it should be lots of disks.

Is there any one who can tell me which ISO utility should I use to open up my eos.iso file to add .e4b files?

I had this problem also. I got around it by first importing the e4b bank on the hardware (yielding the crunchy fuzzies), then using Awave studio to overwrite the samples using SMDI from the correct index. Then reload your preset on the hardware and everything should be okay.

i record instrument in EMU -lator x
i made loop points for each note (32 notes)
and now i like to transfer preset to other format
like sound fonts 2
i find export function but is suport just EOS

how to get soundfont out of this

or how to transfer EOS file to soundfont?
i realy need it[:-bulb]
regards
***You can only export Waves, E4, or EXB. So yes you will need to take E4 and translate it to SF2 in a commercial format converter like ChickenSys or CDXtract.
