In other words, is it possible to retune a preset so the interval between two adjacent keys on the keyboard would be 1/4 tone instead of 1/2 ?

There are several ways you could do this. It really depends on if youre only wanting to tune a single note to 1/4 or if your wanting to define a new pitch table/tuning.

Super easy man. You got your sample right set at A4. Now you know that screen you go to set your high and low boundries and your origin, right? Well there is a section called Ctune and Ftune. Your Ctune increased the pitch by a half step. Your Ftune increases the pitch at maxium a half step. If I remeber right, you have a max value of 60 in Ftune. So a quarter step would equal to a +/- 30...um points.. value, whatever. You get the idea.

I see now that I somehow overlooked something om said about pitch tables. Where is that pitch table definition ?

Anyway. Sure you could do something I suppose with the cords. I guess you could set up a cc to control the pitch, not fine pitch, just pitch. And from there you could adjust the cc for the pitch you want. So you would play the same note, but adjust the cc so that it plays the desired pitch. I personally would select velocity for the controller. You would have upto 127 different pitches using the velocity controller. The only issue is that you could only go up in pitch, or down... depending on where you set it at.

But tuning would be kind of hard. What you sound like you want to do is just intonation and that has alot to do with math and all that, and It would be kind of hard to adjust properly. There is a thread about the pitch cord conversions in the sticky on this forum I believe. Head to the last page...

Don't know exactly how the source would be called, but I think it should work...

Yeah, you can use Key+ or Key~. It's a bit hit or miss. If you turn on 'Non Transpose' in a voice then assign Key+ to Gain 4x and then Gain4x to pitch you almost get a perfect scale. You might need to change the course tuning to get it sounding right.
