A question for folks with more than one Ultra

Postby om » Mon Sep 19, 2005 11:50 pm

I was thinking that it would be possible to combine 2 or 3 Ultras using my midi patchbay (merge) in a similar way to what the Combinator does in reason. This would allow you to treat 2 or 3 ultras as a single instrument.

Anyone tried this. I would think you would be able to get some mind blowing sound happening.

With the price of Ultras going through the floor, I'm considering picking up an additional one with this in mind.

i have 3 machines. 1 dedicated to drums, the other bass and other sounds, all units have 16 analog outs. the 3rd machine is brand new in its box as a spare.

if you cant get an amazing sound from one machine you will just get a mess with more than one machine as a single instrument...i cant really see the usefulness of your pipe dream in all honesty.

The layering capabilities in one preset alone should satisfy anyone :-)
