How to make an envellope follower for zplane filters ?

Postby nuts » Wed Mar 01, 2006 8:54 pm

Hi, i would like to do that but i don't know which routing module i can use to do that.

it could be amazing if i can do with zplanes like my electrixfilterqueen could do.

On a drumloop for exemple it can open the filters on snare and close on hihats depending of the level.

And it can follow three bands (hi.mid.low)..as you want.

i know i don't really want to use lfo's or midi velocity ,i would like the filter to move depending of the audio level.

Any tips?

thanks

No, it is not possible.

Unfortunately, you are going to have get creative with Midi Controllers.

If you are using software, then you may want to have a look at something like this http://topazproductions.co.uk/subpages/vsts.html There is a VST called 'Midi Ducker 1' which "is a Midi CC Output plugin that will take any Audio Signal and detect levels then convert them to a chosen Controller"
