I've found it useful to make template presets for things like drums or Multi one shot hit presets. I've made a drum preset for the whole key range with all my midi controllers and patch cords routed the way I like them and then saved a version with Hi Pass filters another with Band Pass filters and another with low pass filters plus one using the Dual EQ filters using the boost setup for a good overall drum mix. Also found it useful to make a preset the same way with varying filters across the keyboard and then can just scroll through the sounds I like and build prestes in a 3rd of the time....

Save it as a bank and just merge it back in with whatever soundbank your using and you can just sample or import your nuts off and away you go
