Controller 66

Postby Jem10 » Wed Nov 01, 2006 2:33 pm

Hi folks!

I have what I hope is an easy question to answer but I've been busting my brains trying to work it out for myself with no avail. In short I'd like to map my foot pedal (connected to CME UF8) to 66 Sost control. It currently responds as a sustain pedal as you'd expect it to, so I thought with a little re-routing I could have a Sost pedal instead.

Please help!

PS Nice one Ole for taking over the reigns! Respect.

I am not exactually sure if that is possible. I know I have used panning cc's for modulating filters but sometimes I would get mixed results. Some times it would actually pan and do the filter modulation at the same time even though I thought I turned the panning off. I think, some controllers are sort of hardwired. I will actualy go off and mess around with this right now. You want CC 66... Man, I am just not sure how that will go.

Look into it.

Ah, I see. Not what I wanted to hear, but it kinda makes me feel I'm not quite such an idiot for not being able to work it out!

The only source I could get to modulate on CC 66, in other words, I took Cubase, selected CC 66 and added CC data on that track then I went through and selected different destinations until I got something to act. Thumb was the only source that seemed to modulate anything. And it acted like a switch. either the lpf was on or off, no shifting of the center frequence gradualy even if the CC data was gradual. I don't know if that will help, but it might get you going in some direction.

Thanks for taking the time to help out.
I'll keep on tweaking & fiddling and see where I get with the 'thumb'.

Thanks again ;)
