You can get it here: http://www.higen.org/blogg/?p=28

New track done its my first track made with the emu.. and i had a killer time

Genre: Drum & Bass

Drums: Emu drumkit (self sampled)

Bass: Emu, sampled from my Nova, layred and fixed in emu. Used RFX compressor.

Sweet & Pads: Emu, sampled from my Nova, layred and fixed. Used RFX reverb.

Rhodes: Premade emu sample (it was on my harddisk :P)

Other synth sound: Juno 106 emulator from my Creamware card.

Feedback are welcome. It was a blast making the track.. its not eq-ed on the bottom.. so don?t play it too loud on crappy pc speakers..

Sounding good, not my style of music, but the part with only hi-hat and the rhodes plus some pads got some interesting harmonies. The start is kinda weak when compared to the rhodes-part, so just keep working and it will all be great. Are you from Norway? I think I might saw something about 17. mai on your blog, but it might be my mind playing tricks. Keep up the good work!

You need to go crazy with some breaks. The drums are just a tad simple for my taste, but I was always into that techy roller stuff. If you want, go to www.thewickedshade.com and click on the word "scream" and you'll hear my choon. The drums are Emu. I sampled a break and layered it ontop of it's self. You'll get the idea.

The song, from an engineering stand point, is very good... the overall timbre of all the sounds is sort of... New Age sounding. It reminds me of "Beyond The Mind's Eye" kind of thing.

But, the thing is... no matter what kind of critizism you get... the only thing that is important is if you like what you did. If you do... then that is the point. Good track overall.

Thanks for the feedback.. hey.. you are right when it comes to breaks and stuff.. its basicly my first drum and bass track.. and it will hopefully improve. I also see that i will get more advance when i get the emu more into my fingertips. i realy didnt took the time to work more on this track...

I am intressted in how to do stuff on the emu.. .

Right now i did a singleshot sampling and build up a drumkit, which i trigged from the sequencer. but i see that making drumloops then sample them back is also a way to go..

But i enjoy what i am doing.. music makes me happy :).

Thanks for the feedback both:)

Ah, you never see what's in front of you, eh? Well, now we are three Norwegians on the forum, including me.

You three could start a new band and call it something like... A-Ha?

Did he miss it?

Well... maybe he can "Take On Me" later...

He could also name their first album Hunting High And Low...
