Utilising "note off"

Postby TSR » Fri Jun 27, 2008 5:36 pm

Does anyone know whether it is possible to let a sample be
played at "note off" instead of "note-on". I didn't find a direct
way, so maybe powerful EOS can help out!?

I'd like to program a nice acoustic piano with key-off sounds.

Thanks in advance.

Is KEYUP an acceptable alternative?

I guess this won't help out. I only found the KEYP-UP function in context with
Solo-Mode. I'd like to program a sample being played when releasing the
key while using polyphonic sample playing.

I also use the Command-Stations running OS2.0 and the feature I am
looking for is implemented. I will possibly try program the RELEASE1
Envelope using some of the internal mod-processors. Maybe there's a
way out. Let's see...

If it exists within the command station I would be surprised if you could not do it with an ULTRA as they are basically the same sound engine.

Are you saying you want to trigger more than sound from a single sound (Key release)? and when you say more than one do mean a chord or an arpeggio because I know the command station can trigger arpeggios from a single key but I don't think an Ultra can.

I'd like to play a chord of piano samples (polyphonic!) and if I
release the key, I'd like another sample to be played, for instance,
piano-damper noise.

As I've mentioned, the Command Stations offered this feature in their very last OS.

Not that I'm all that helpful, but I seem to remember that somewhere in my e-synth there is a harpsichord with the release sounding on key-off. I'll look when I have time.
