Creative Synthesis by Using Single-Cycle Loops

Postby TSR » Thu Jan 01, 2009 12:39 pm

I just like to point your attention to some very nice possiilties any
kind of sampler offers: SINGLE-CYCLE LOOPS

Here's an interesting and funny site to get into:
http://www.vandewerk.nl/bazziman/Home/Home.html

Fortunately, the EOS supports the user in creating single-cycle loops
in the sense that there is a sample rate calculator to make your
samples fit best.

Definately interesting stuff and actually does only need a few bytes
of your beloved ram. Yep!

There are actually EMU made synthesis tools for working with the EIV range of samplers, made specifically for this purpose. Its on one of the official EMU sample disks, and goes by the name of 'The Emulator Production Set' CD Rom
I asked people but have only come across the version for the ESI range as of yet.

here are a bunch of single cycle loops from various analog synths (and the elektron machine drum!) originally made for ableton users, you can use the individual *.wav files and send them to your emu to make presets! pretty sweet. i did it for the fr777 waveforms, tb303 and ms20 ones that they have
