Pitchbend range

Postby arkieboy » Tue May 12, 2009 1:10 pm

Ok, I'm a newbie. It seems that pitch bend range is set with cords only - which I understand: its just the same as the modulation matrix on an Oberheim synthesiser.

But it seems to be set on a per-voice basis - I need to change the bend range of a preset globally. Quite often. Is there a shortcut?

Also, how do I set up a bend range of an octave* - what percent modulation is required. I can discover this myself, but if someone knows it already it will save me some grief.

Worked this out myself.

The default cord amount for pitch bend in my E5000 is currently 6%. Which is 2 semitones.

So how many % for one octave? (Pay attention, Jenkins - I'm setting homework on this...)

Of course it's 36%. Which means 100% is just under 3 octaves.

Easy-peasy!
