Hey all,

This is my first post here. I just picked up a barely-used E6400 Ultra, and I have a simple - probably silly - question for you guys.

I installed an IDE hard drive, where I have been saving my samples and presets. I just loaded a preset from the drive, but the midi tracks, coming from my mac, don't seem to be triggering anything.

The "MIDI" indicator on the front of the EMU lights up, but the samples don't play. I can audition them in the "Sample manage" area, and they were playing fine, the other day, when I created the preset.

Do I need to manually assign a MIDI channel to the preset each time? If so, how do I do this?

Any ideas?

This seems to be a great unit, but it still doesn't make a lot of sense to me. I used to make tunes with a Yamaha A4000, but this was almost 10 years ago...
