Postby zayance » Fri Nov 13, 2009 5:06 pm

Hi there, i've sold a E4 Platinum, and there was a 3.5"disk given with it named RFX Effects Disk #1, but i don't remember of a #2 disk, can you confirm that there is only one so i can try searching for it and send it to the buyer? Thanks a lot

To my knowledge there was only 1 disk that came with the RFX originially. Subsequent to this they released other FX like the Compressor separately. A search of the internet should give you these. I think there are 3 or 4 that EMU added after the initial release.

I contacted E-mu support and asked for the disk images for the RFX-32 card. They responded quickly and returned a download link for the files.

Please upload whatever you have for the RFX - it seems impossible to get the disks anymore from our "Friends" at Emu.

Hi,

What tool was used to create these images? I've not been able to open the images in any of the usual inspection tools (Winimage on XP) or OS X Image mounters. I used VMWARE 3 on OS X to try and mount these images using a couple of tools.

What was the source format FAT floppies or EOS floppies ? Inspecting the actual image files shows they have some kind of file system in them - so I think its my tools that are not interpreting things in order to write them out to another floppy - but before i do that I need the tool to at least be able to mount them.....

it´s an emu format.
I made this with a mac on OS7 . He create an Disk Image.
The MAc could not read it!

Don´t try to open it on your Computer !!!
It can´t work. Never on any Sys exept EOS.

So, don´t know how it works under PC-WIN yet, but i remember it is very easy.( under WIN 95/98 .

Just open your diskCopy tools and select this EOS-file , then insert a floopy-the in your Computer and that´s it.
very easy. That is for shure.

So , perhaps try Google for Details etc . Maybe you need a freeware Tool Copy Image. Or it´s default in the Folder "Utility" for System etc .

Don´t know PC Win Systems.
