creating a envelope for a sample/preset??

Postby KRS-2 » Sat Nov 29, 2003 4:00 pm

i have a nice sample looped that im using as a intro type organ sound in a tune. only thing is right when i let go of the key, the sound stops. i need to get a long decay on the sound but not sure how to do it.

do i have to do this in the cords section? i have not really mesed around with this section much so any help would be great.

thanks much :spliff:

I honestly recommend you spend a session (at least a coupla hours) on the cords section. You'll realise what a sound investment it was afterwards. Anway you can get what you want here without going into cords

OK, you've got a loop but want a bit of -release- i think on it. So...

Hit Edit Preset. and find your way to Amp Envelope in the Edit Voice menu - sleect Rls1 rate and try a setting of around 70 to begin with - play your loop and you should here what you're after - tweak until it's how you like.

If this fails go into sample edit, tools 1, loop tp, and make sure Loop in release is set to on.

yea i need to get into the cords section a bit, im not exactly sure what it even does yet. seems like some kind of matrix that assigns diff effects to diff properties like velocity, etc..???

anyway, thanks for the tip.
