batch timestrech all samples in preset

Postby sebguy » Mon Feb 28, 2011 7:51 pm

is there a way to do this? i've got a load of chopped vocals from a 126bpm acapella in a preset and need them all at 131bpm. i'm trying to find a way to do them all at once rather than going through all 29

also which stretch algorithm could anybody recommend? there's a load but i can't find any info about the differences. any advice would be much appreciated

i'm new to the forum and whole emu thing btw so hello all

hi
Welcome on board
As you have a classic the option to export your samples via zip disc formated in fat32 and bulk process them in soundforge is not an option, so you will have to do it the slow way
Try to think of it as a an exercise in getting to know the machine better because by the time you are totally familiar with the E-mu you will be flying around the unit
I wouldn't know the best algorithm for this as I work with a sound editor on the pc but with a little bit of experimentation you can let your ears decide
I suggest making multiple copies of 1 sample, then processing each one differently to hear the effects of each algorithm,
then when you find what works best for you use this as the tool to timeshrink your bank
cheers

PS If you think that it will be a bit of a pain have some sympathy for this geezer

I just had an idea
IF you use the original vocal (Uncut acapella) then timeshink it you will have it all processed very quickly
However you will then need to chop it up and map it to the keys in a bank
Doh!!!! :???:
