Postby bukana » Wed Apr 20, 2011 10:03 am

hi, its long time i did serious work with my loved ultra 5000...now he will became part as a instrument member in my reggae band
...somehow its strange that my bautifully hammond B3 preset does not has velocity, every tone has the same volume does not responed to low or heaveyer dynamic playing key on the keyboard
..no dynamic velocity responed....like it is on a real organ , no velocity
i do not know where to find the veloctiy setting responde to that peticilar preset in the menu...and its drive me nuts, the beautifull piano does have velocity in his preset and is wounderfull dynamical sounding
..can someone please give advice, little turtorial where to set the velocity responce ranges for a preset , witch button to squezz and dial.

...thank you very much...

Now, if you want to do that (add something a real B3 doesn't have, however it applies more of a soft attack if you hit key slow) call up your Organ preset, hit Preset Edit button > F3 Global > F6 Edit All (to capture all samples inside preset) > F5 Cords >
then set one of the cords to source Vel~ > dest AmpVol > set to an amount that suits your playing, setting to most sensible + 100% will probably sound crap/unnatural for a B3, so go down from that. Refer to the manual for the different cords/sources, there are for example three different Vel sources +/~/<. Some cords interact with the initial Amp/Filt and other settings, i.e. some things won't give you the results you're after with wrong (initial) settings, just as a reminder/add. info.
