Whoosh noises

Postby ezman » Tue Jan 20, 2004 11:15 pm

Looking for long whoosh samples, any ideas on how to get a decent controllable whoosh? I men so I can control whether it goes up and down - how long. Any recommended filters? I've used Chorus in the Tuning section to get some pretty good ones but I want more control. I guess my 2 mai questions are.

Best samples to use as building block? White Noise?
Best filter to use?

Thanks,
Ezman

ezman,

How about setting up your preset so you can fade between different types of noise (white/pink/etc ... anything but the brown noise  )

I would try one of the phasing filters, might give more interesting results?

I'd say a HP filter controlled by the envelope on some white noise. chorus would sound good too! Invert the other envelope to control the chorus or something.
