Everything we love about Samplers from E-MU, AKAI, Ensoniq, Kurzweil, Korg, Roland, Yamaha, and all the rest.

Generally I like this FluxBB forum, it's as stripped down as can be, which I think is a good thing. But then again, it might be worth considering some more modern stuff in the line of stackoverflow. I do not think that the stackoverflow approach is the answer to everything. For stuff like coding it makes a lot of sense, where this traditional forum style makes more sense also just for general discussion, and this rewarding system can quickly become annoying and even counterproductive.

Well, both of them have a point. And this is about samplers, which is very emotional in 2014, and the usage of these very nice machines is not comparable to coding. I was just having a look at http://forum.osxlatitude.com/ and they seem to use a wordpress forum plugin. This would be possible as well.

Well, after some thought, the OSX latitude forum is not much different from FluxBB.

I don't contribute very much but am happy with the current format. It's clean & simple and works for both chat & problem/solutions via the search options. Similar forums include Korg, muffwiggler and the old emusonacid. Scoring & reputations etc. seem unnecessary as I'd still read a post regardless of its score and make up my own mind as to which was the best answer; sometimes it's not black & white anyway.

Hi,
Seems quite fine as it is at the moment to be honest!
Ta,

I like the format too, not personally a fan of the point type system...
