It can send samples via MIDI too amongst other features. Free.

Lightweight yet full featured wave editor for PC. Free. No sample send over MIDI But that's quite rare for such editors nowadays anyway.

Just coded up some new 'live-play' functions for Sequetron - handy for inspiration/noodling; this short demo video uses a dotcom synth, but any synth, sampler or MIDI gizmo will do. The new functions are dedicated to the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc... notes of the chosen scale or chord, and can be mapped to whichever keys you like, e.g. consecutive keys or white keys only, etc. Makes for an interesting (if not exactly traditional) playing technique!
