Hello everybody,
I've just received my 6400Ultra and with help of this forum I managed the first problems. But now I have some questions:
I'm using my emu as a electronic drum trigger sound source. I play electric drum pads and convert the signals with an alesis dm5 to midi signals.
The problem is everytime I hit a pad the sample is cut off. So I have no change of playing longer samples with it (for example long cymbal sounds;they just stop after a short time)
What can I do?!? Are there any settings that a sample is playing its whole length just after one single hit with keyboard or drum-pad?
I'm really distressed because of this
I also want to control drum-loops with my drum pads. For example:
I hit the pad once->the loop starts.
After hiting the pad a second time the loop has to stop. Is this possible?
I have an idea for drum modulation-maybe you could help me with this:
I want to know if it's possible to set more loop start and end points in one single sample. These "loops" should be played after each other (after release the next loop should be selected).
The idea is to have for example one sample with 4different snare sounds.
First hit->snare sound 1
second hit->snare sound2
third hit -> ...
So the snare sound changes with every single hit.
For this idea I also tried to use velocity corssfades,but the problem is to hit the pad with the correct velocity to start the correct sample.
Maybe you have some different ideas with the same effect...
Thanks for your help!!!
ps: sorry for my bad english ;-)
